Why Women Rising Above Abuse?

I started Women Rising Above Abuse because I know our community is in need of it. As a child, I was molested and raped. During that time of my life I had no outlet, nor was there any program that we knew of that could help me through those trying times. I wanted to be delivered and healed from those past hurts, yet I found myself in emotionally and physically abusive relationships as time went on. Today I am an overcomer, empowered, and strengthen. I am no longer a victim of my past hurts or traumas. I want to help young girls and women become overcomers themselves. This is my calling and what I desire to do, in 1 Thessalonians 5:11 (KJV) it says: Therefore, encourage and comfort one another and build up one another, just as you are doing.
We should not have to live our lives in fear or shame but, in peace and joy. 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV) also says: Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! Newness has come for you; healing has come for you let’s take this journey of healing and newness together.
You are special, You are worth it, You will be okay
I Love you, and there is nothing you can do about it….
